Technological modernization of the agricultural sector through ICT

On August 27 at Stara Zagora Airport, within the "BATA Agro 2014" exhibition, a conference on technological solutions in the agricultural sector will be held. How the business of agricultural organizations can be optimized through suitable software, what opportunities the operational programs provide for the development of this business, and more specifically the "Rural Development" Operational Program, are part of the conference's focal points.

Agriculture is increasingly attracting the interest of financial institutions. This is proven by central bank statistics. According to BNB data for the period April - June 2013, the volume of loans directed to companies in the sector increased by over BGN 110 million, or 8.8%. On an annual basis, agriculture also ranks among the sectors with the highest increase in lending.

The conference will propose suitable technological solutions for companies operating in the fields of production, trade, repair, and supply of parts for agricultural machinery; grain producers, vegetable growers, wine producers, producers and traders of seeds, seedlings, fodder, vegetables; livestock farming, poultry farming, etc.

The event will be held with the support of the Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Association of Independent Winegrowers and Winemakers, the National Association of Grain Producers, and the Association of Vegetable Growers in Bulgaria.

The event is free for those employed in the country's agricultural sector - production, trade, repair and supply of parts for agricultural machinery; grain producers, vegetable growers, wine producers, producers and traders of seeds, seedlings, fodder, vegetables; livestock farming, poultry farming, etc.

Representatives of companies whose main line of business is the supply, development, and sale of IT products and solutions pay an entrance fee of BGN 305 including VAT.
