Additional financial resources for the fruit plantations destroyed during the winter and spring of 2018

An additional financial resource of BGN 63,000 for destroyed fruit plantations was approved by the Management Board of the State Fund Agriculture under the state aid scheme „Aid for compensating damage to agricultural crops caused by adverse climatic conditions“ - Frost damage from low temperatures during the winter and spring of 2018.  Together with the BGN 700,000 granted at the end of August (Protocol No 124 of 29.03.2018 and Protocol No 132 of 28.08.2018), the funds amount to BGN 763,000.

Farmers from the regions of Varna, Dobrich, Lovech, Silistra, Sliven and Shumen who hold verification protocols for 100% damaged areas with peaches and nectarines, apricots, plums, almonds or cherries as a result of frost damage from low temperatures during the winter and spring of 2018 are eligible for support.

It should be recalled that applications for the state aid „Aid for compensating damage to agricultural crops caused by adverse climatic conditions - Frost damage from low temperatures during the winter and spring of 2018" were accepted from 17 September to 05 October 2018 in the regional directorates of the State Fund Agriculture. The funds will be paid to farmers by 26 October 2018.
