The acceptance of applications for compensation for adverse natural disasters in 2018 has begun

Applications for the state aid scheme „Aid for compensating damages to agricultural crops caused by adverse climatic conditions - Frost damage from low temperatures in the winter and spring of 2018” will be accepted from 17 September to 05 October 2018 in the „PSMP“ departments at the regional directorates of the State Fund Agriculture. The funds will be paid to farmers by 22 October 2018.

The Management Board of the State Fund Agriculture approved at its meeting a financial resource of BGN 700,000 under the state aid scheme „Aid for compensating damages to agricultural crops caused by adverse climatic conditions - Frost damage from low temperatures in the winter and spring of 2018” at an intensity rate of 80% of production costs.

The funds are allocated for the following types of crops:

  •        Almonds - up to BGN 1,531.2/ha;

  •        Apricots - up to BGN 1,496.0/ha;

  •        Plums - up to BGN 1,459.6/ha;

  •        Peaches, nectarines - up to BGN 1,354.3/ha;

  •        Cherries - up to BGN 1,259.6/ha.

Support is available to farmers who possess verification protocols for 100% damaged areas of the specified crops as a result of frost damage from low temperatures in the winter and spring of 2018.
