Approved is the amount for the winter spraying for 2018

The Management Board of the State Fund „Agriculture“ approved an annual financial resource for 2018 in the amount of BGN 4,700,000 under the state aid scheme “Aid for compensating the costs of agricultural producers related to the implementation of measures under the National Programme for Pest Control in Permanent Crops during the Winter Period”.

For support in the purchase of plant protection products for permanent fruit plantations, strawberries and raspberries during the winter season, which are applied in the period after the cold weather has passed until bud swelling, applications will be accepted from 8 February to 2 March 2018. By 13 April, applicants must submit to the State Fund „Agriculture“ a report and documents for the activities carried out. The deadline for payment of the funds is 25 May 2018.

For the purchase of plant protection products and products for accelerating the processes of leaf decay in fruit species, strawberries and raspberries, which are applied in autumn during the period of mass leaf fall, applications will be submitted from 15 October to 31 October 2018. The deadline for reporting the activities is 16 November 2018, and the funds must be paid by 07 December 2018.

The objective of the aid is to limit losses from the spread of overwintering pests in permanent crops such as pome and stone fruit species, as well as strawberries and raspberries.
