As of 27 September 2017, fruit producers will be able to benefit from the familiar scheme “Temporary exceptional support measures for the fruit sector market”. The submission of applications is opened by Order 03 RD/3466 of the Executive Director of the State Fund “Agriculture”. The financial support aims to compensate farmers affected by the ban on imports of certain products from the European Union to the Russian Federation.

Farmers who wish to benefit from the additional aid submit applications to the regional directorates of the State Fund “Agriculture” according to the address registration of the natural or legal person. The submission is opened under the procedure of Ordinance No. 5 of 8 September 2017 on the conditions and procedure for the implementation of a temporary exceptional measure for supporting the market in the fruit sector (State Gazette, issue 75 of 15.09.2017).

Support in the fruit sector is provided through the implementation of the measure “withdrawal from the market” until 30 June 2018 or until the exhaustion of the maximum quantities of 2,000 tonnes. Eligible applicants are fruit growers cultivating apples, pears, peaches and nectarines, plums and sweet cherries. Eligible to apply are individual producers and members of producer groups and producer organisations for fruit that do not implement operational programmes. Producer organisations for fruit that implement operational programmes approved under the conditions and procedure of Ordinance No. 11 of 2007 may also benefit from the measure.

Individual producers must be registered by 30 June 2017 under Ordinance No. 3 of 1999 on the establishment and maintenance of a register of farmers. When the total quantity of fruit withdrawn from the market reaches 2,000 tonnes, the submission of applications is terminated.
