Opportunities for control of root-knot nematodes (genus Meloidogyne) in vegetable crops

On May 20, 2026 (Wednesday) in the village of Karnalovo, municipality of Petrich, a seminar will be held on the topic: „Opportunities for control of root-knot nematodes (genus Meloidogyne) in vegetable crops“.

During the seminar, participants will be introduced by Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Miladin Nazarkov, Institute of Soil Science, Agrotechnologies and Plant Protection (ISSAPP) „Nikola Pushkarov“ – Sofia, to innovative approaches for controlling root-knot nematodes through the introduction of microorganisms, in accordance with the rules of organic production.

In the second part of the seminar, opportunities for supporting agricultural producers under Intervention II.D.2. „Support for very small agricultural holdings“ of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPDARA) 2023-2027 will be presented.

Organizers of the event are: Mobile Municipal Office (MMO) – Petrich at the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAAS) and the Institute of Soil Science, Agrotechnologies and Plant Protection (ISSAPP) „Nikola Pushkarov“ – Sofia under the Agricultural Academy (AA)
