The intervention rate for coupled income support for protein crops for Campaign 2025 is EUR 131.90 per hectare. According to the Indicative Schedule, it must be paid by May 20.

The intervention aims to promote the cultivation of crops with high protein content, which are of significant importance for the feed base and sustainable agriculture.

Under the scheme, crops such as soybeans, peas, beans, chickpeas, lentils, faba beans, vetches, lupins, alfalfa, clover, sainfoin, and other protein and fodder crops included in the regulatory framework may be declared.

Agricultural producers who meet the requirements of Article 35 of Ordinance No. 3 of March 10, 2023 are entitled to financial support. They must cultivate at least 0.5 hectares (collectively or individually) of protein crops, and their areas must be eligible for support under the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS).

In compliance with the provisions of applicable legislation, funds amounting to 1.5 percent of the support amount have been deducted from the paid sums, representing each agricultural producer's contribution to the Mutual Assistance Fund.

One of the novelties in Campaign 2025 is that arable land occupied by fodder and protein crops may also participate in certain eco-schemes for livestock breeders. The change aims to expand access to support and provide more opportunities for producers cultivating such areas.
