In conditions of increased competition, more productive and high-quality varieties are sought, meeting the heightened requirements of the producer, the processing industry, and the market. Bulgarian breeding offers high-yielding, well-adapted varieties, resistant to diseases and pests, with good morphological, physical, and biochemical characteristics. It is necessary to update key technological components and develop comprehensive eco-friendly technologies that meet the requirements of individual tomato varietal types.

The technology for the production of determinate tomatoes for fresh consumption and processing has been developed based on the authors' own scientific research conducted at the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Institute - Plovdiv, as well as on studies in recent years.

The technology is aligned with the biological requirements of the crop and varieties by optimizing key technological elements: cultivation and fertilization scheme through the use of mulch. The application of modern technological and technical solutions, reflecting good agricultural practices, aims to increase the yields of the Kopnezh F1 and Prometey varieties and the competitiveness of Bulgarian growers in tomato production.

The assessment of the main economic indicators, combined with the obtained average yield, proves that the schemes are suitable and can be recommended as economically justified for the medium-early production of the Kopnezh F1 and Prometey varieties.

The cultivation technology for the new Bulgarian tomatoes, variety Kopnezh F1 and variety Prometey, will be provided to producers as a practical action guide, which will contribute to accelerating the processes of adaptation to European requirements and standards. It will be offered to farmers along with the variety and will enable a more complete realization of the biological potential of the determinate tomato varieties created at the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Institute. As a current scientific study, the technology has significant theoretical and practical application.

The main users of the presented technology are: vegetable producers; specialists; scientific researchers with professional interest in this field; the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and other organizations.

The scientific product was developed within the project: ZEMDKT 1 "Development and improvement of cultivation technologies for new Bulgarian vegetable crop varieties".
