Eight Key Panels and Strategic Topics at the 12th National Meeting of Agricultural Producers

"Agriculture Between Risk and Opportunity" is the motto of the 12th National Meeting of Agricultural Producers, which will be held on February 25 and 26, 2026, at the Kings' Valley Medical & Spa Hotel, Kazanlak. The event, organized by the Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria (AZPB), promises to be a large-scale platform for dialogue, analysis, and discussion on the future of Bulgarian agriculture and agribusiness.

On February 25 at 2:20 PM, immediately after the official opening and before the start of the first panel, a discussion on the topic: "The CBAM Challenge" will be held, dedicated to the impact of the new European regulations on industry and agriculture. Participants in this pressing topic will be Georgi Borisov, Commercial Director of "Agripolychim" AD, Boyan Rashev, an expert in environmental and resource management, and Sofia Belcheva, an agricultural journalist and content writer.

This year's program covers eight strategic panels that examine key topics for the sector:

Panel 1: The Future of European Agricultural and Food Policy

Discussions will cover the European Commission's vision for the Common Agricultural Policy post-2027, Bulgaria's position on key EU topics, the Green Deal, and reducing the administrative burden. A moderated discussion with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Bulgaria's Permanent Representation in Brussels.

Panel 2: Geopolitics and Agribusiness Competitiveness

A discussion on global economic trends and international trade and their impact on Bulgarian farmers. Includes expert analyses from Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Ivanov and Nikolay Vasilev, as well as the agribusiness perspective through representatives of the Bulgarian Agrifood Chamber and branch organizations.

Panel 3: Strategic Priority – Irrigation

Legislative changes and permitting regimes for water use, modernization of the infrastructure of "Irrigation Systems" EAD, and future investments for sustainable water resource management.

Panel 4: Risk Management and Climate Challenges

Review of the mutual aid fund, the national hail suppression system, and new interventions for co-financing insurance premiums under the Strategic Plan.

Panel 5: State Aid

Presentations on state support for 2026, including excise duty discounts on diesel fuel, corporate tax rebates for investments, and incentives for humane treatment of animals.

Panel 6: Ready for the 2026 Campaign

Updates on conditionality, eco-schemes, and coupled support interventions, news in agroecology and organic farming, as well as the importance of certified seeds for sustainable and profitable production.

Panel 7: Grain Markets in 2026

Analyses and forecasts for grain crop markets, trends and prospects for a successful year, presented by leading experts and analysts in the sector.

Panel 8: Land Relations and Labor Force

Discussion on legislative changes in land relations, labor migration, workforce mobility, and solutions for securing the business with qualified personnel.
