The “Field Day” initiative is organized by the Dobrudzha Union of Grain Producers and the “Markeli” – Karnobat Union of Grain Producers with the support of the National Association of Grain Producers.

The host of the event is Eng. Nikola Nikolov, manager of "Agrodar Bulgaria" EOOD, who on 28 and 29 May 2025 opens the doors of his farm in Aytos to show what farming is beyond sowing and harvesting.

Nikola Nikolov: “My goal as a farmer is the preservation and support of Bulgarian production and breeding through the implementation of innovative technologies“

The initiative aims to help the Bulgarian farmer make the best choice for his fields. The platform demonstrates how different agricultural crops and varieties develop under the specific climatic conditions of the region, featuring both Bulgarian and international breeding.

On an area of 100 decares, crops grown under identical conditions with precision agriculture have been sown: 50 wheat varieties, 36 rapeseed varieties, 18 barley varieties, 6 triticale varieties.

Eleven seed companies, Bulgarian institutes and planting material companies have provided their varieties to the platform in Aytos: IPGR "K. Malkov" Sadovo, Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute – G. Toshevo, Semenarska Kashta-Sadovo OOD, KWS Bulgaria, Rapool Bulgaria EOOD, BASF Agricultural Solutions, Syngenta, Lidea Bulgaria, Lider Consulting EOOD, Bayer Crop Science Bulgaria, Pesticid EOOD.

Location – the base of "Agrodar Bulgaria" EOOD, Aytos.
