Verben® is an innovative and powerful fungicide from Corteva Agriscience, which provides complete protection of cereal crops through its unique formulation and the synergistic action of the two active substances – Proquinazid and Prothioconazole.

Mode of action and vapour phase

One of the key advantages of Verben® is the presence of the active substance Proquinazid, which has a pronounced vapour phase. This means that after application of the product, the vapours of the active substance spread to the untreated parts of the plants, providing them with protection against diseases even under high infection pressure. The vapour phase of Proquinazid helps to stop the spread of pathogens, ensuring perfect protection even in hard-to-reach areas of the crop.

This characteristic is of crucial importance for ensuring long-lasting protection even under unfavourable climatic conditions, such as high humidity or occurrence of infection. Proquinazid also acts as an immunomodulator, enhancing the resistance of plants against diseases and stress.

Combination of active substances

In addition to Proquinazid, Verben® also contains Prothioconazole – a widely used systemic active substance for disease control. This combination of the two substances provides a synergistic effect, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the product. Prothioconazole complements the local action of Proquinazid by penetrating the plant tissues and spreading into all plant parts of the crop, ensuring reliable protection against all important diseases.
