Modern technological solutions and good manufacturing practices in the orchard

Technology is increasingly entering the work of gardeners and fruit growers, and therefore the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAAS) will demonstrate how modern technological solutions work and what the good production practices in the orchard are on 13 September 2024 from 10:30 a.m. in the plum orchard of the farmer Eridjan Halil in the village of Orlyak, Dobrich region.

During the meeting, participants will receive information on working with a plum-harvesting machine of the “Reverse Umbrella” type. The advantages of mechanical plum harvesting and the specific features of the machine’s operation will be explained. Within the framework of the meeting, farmers will also be informed about the activities of NAAS under sub-measure 2.1.2 “Advisory services for small agricultural holdings” of Measure 2 of the RDP 2014–2020, as well as the opportunities for support for young, small and new farmers under the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPDARA) 2023–2027.
