Only until 26 July farmers growing potatoes, tree nuts (walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts) and cultivated mushrooms may submit applications for de minimis aid, the State Fund "Agriculture" (SFA) announced.

The intake started on 12 July 2024. The aid is granted to cover part of the production costs of farmers for 2024. Applications are accepted at the regional offices of the SFA according to the permanent address of natural persons or the registered office of sole traders or legal entities. Applications may be submitted in person or through an authorised representative, upon presentation of a notarised power of attorney in the standard form prepared by the State Fund "Agriculture".

The total budget for the aid amounts to up to BGN 13,000,000. The funds are allocated as follows:

 - for potatoes - up to BGN 7,000,000;

 - for tree nuts (walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts) - up to BGN 5,000,000;

 - for cultivated mushrooms - up to BGN 1,000,000.

The maximum amount of de minimis aid for a single farmer or a single enterprise for three consecutive budgetary years (2022 - 2024) may not exceed the BGN equivalent of EUR 25,000 - BGN 48,895.75. The final amount of the aid rates is determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) after the submission of applications for support and is approved by decision of the Management Board of the State Fund "Agriculture".
