Heliantex™ is a selective post-emergence herbicide, developed specifically for the control of key broadleaf weeds commonly found in sunflower. With its new active substance Arylex™ active, Heliantex™ offers an effective solution for managing difficult-to-control weeds in this crop.
Advantages:
Selectivity: Heliantex™ is selective for all sunflower production technologies (conventional, Express, Clearfield, striped, for birds, for dehulling, for the food industry), providing flexibility in the choice of sunflower hybrids that meet all requirements.
Spectrum of activity: Controls difficult-to-manage weeds with other herbicides during vegetation from BBCH stage 14 (4th true leaf) to BBCH stage 50 (bud formation), such as Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Chenopodium spp., Abutilon theophrasti, Xanthium strumarium and others.
No restrictions for subsequent crops in the crop rotation: Heliantex™ degrades rapidly in the soil and after its application there are no restrictions in the crop rotation.
HELIANTEX™ can be applied at lower air temperatures compared to other products, with application of the product at 5 degrees being safe for the crop.
The recommended application temperature is above 10°C. Application of the product above 25 degrees is not recommended.
Mode of Action:
Heliantex™ has a systemic effect on weeds, being absorbed through the vegetative parts of the plants and translocated through their tissues to the growing points. A visible effect can be observed only a few hours after treatment, but the full effect leading to necrosis and desiccation of the weeds is observed 1–3 weeks after treatment, depending on the weed growth stage.
Application
Under conventional technology Conventional technology:
1. Pre-emergence soil herbicide - after sowing before emergence (ASBE)
2. Heliantex™ 4.5 ml/da + 0.1% VIVOLT™ - from fully developed 4th leaf to flower bud
Under imazamox technologies
1. Imazamox from 2nd leaf
2. Heliantex™ 4.5 ml/da + 0.1% VIVOLT™ from 4th leaf
Under imazamox technologies it is mandatory that Heliantex™ be applied separately from imazamox herbicides. The interval between treatments may be a minimum of 3 days.
ExpressSun® technology
1. Express® 50 SG 4 g/da + 0.1% Vivolt
2. Heliantex™ 4.5 ml/da + 0.1% VIVOLT™ from 4th leaf
Under the ExpressSun® technology Heliantex™ may be applied in a tank mix together with Express® 50 SG.
HELIANTEX™ controls weeds that are difficult to control, as well as herbicide-resistant weeds
in all technologies, such as:
Highly susceptible
Ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia)
Common lambsquarters (Chenopodium album)
Abutilon (Abutilon theofonsti)
Susceptible
Cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium)
Annual mercury (Mercurialis annua)
Wild mustard (Sinapis arvensis)
Venice mallow (Hibiscus trionum)
Canadian fleabane (Erigeron canadense L.)
Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum)
Moderately susceptible
Black-bindweed (Polygonum convolvulus)
Wild hemp (Cannabis sativa
Heliantex™ represents an innovative solution for weed control in sunflower, which helps to increase yield potential and enhances growers’ flexibility in the choice of hybrids and cultivation technologies. With its effectiveness and ease of use, Heliantex™ is the long-awaited solution in the fight against weeds that are difficult to control with other herbicides in all sunflower cultivation technologies.
