National Meeting of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria

From 10 to 12 February 2016, the fourth National Meeting of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria will be held at the Admiral Hotel in the Golden Sands resort complex. The Minister of Agriculture Desislava Taneva, the Deputy Minister Vasil Grudev and the Executive Director of the State Fund "Agriculture" – Rumen Porozhanov will acquaint the attendees with the latest developments regarding the forthcoming campaign on Direct Payments and the Rural Development Programme (RDP). The details of the new accounting legislation, which enters into force as of 2016, will also be discussed.
At the annual meeting of Bulgarian agricultural producers, organized by the Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria (AAPB), more than 500 participants will have the opportunity to become acquainted at an expert level with the latest developments in the absorption of national and European funds in agriculture. The panels over the two days cover current topics such as the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020, Production and processing of agricultural products under Measure 4 of the RDP, organic farming and its prospects in Bulgaria and worldwide, the 2016 Direct Payments campaign and land relations. Guests from the Austrian agricultural cluster, within the framework of the forum, will also present equipment and technologies for pig farms. The meeting in the Golden Sands complex will focus not only on current innovations and changes in the sector, but will also address interesting topics such as regulatory frameworks in the industry and the new accounting legislation, which enters into force as of 2016.
For the first time during the forum, in parallel with the discussions, guests will also be able to visit an additionally organized exhibition. More than 20 companies operating in the agricultural sector will present their products and services at specially designated stands.
