The autumn mood has also enveloped the flower gardens, which until recently overflowed with life, hues, and the colorful display that delighted from every corner of the yard has now passed. The petunias, pansies, and roses have faded; the beds with various vegetables have taken on a grayish hue; decorative shrubs and fruit trees are shedding their last leaves.
In the flower garden, the plant residues from the annual flower beds must be removed, the soil is deeply cultivated and enriched with compost, superphosphate, and potassium fertilizer. The stems of biennial and perennial flowers should be cut back low and covered with fallen leaves, straw, or similar material to protect them from severe winter frosts. The soil around decorative shrubs and trees is also cultivated and enriched with organic and mineral fertilizers. The fine days of November are worth using for planting roses and other decorative shrubs and trees.
If the soil is not frozen, you can also plant tulip bulbs; the time is also suitable for planting fruit trees and evergreen species.
