Technology for Cultivation and Achieving High Health Status
This is the title of the special edition prepared in response to the growing interest in this legume crop on the part of professional agricultural producers in our country.
The team of authors – Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Sofia Petrova from the Institute of Plant and Genetic Resources in Sadovo, Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Yordanka Stanoeva and Professor Dr. Ivan Kiryakov from the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute in the town of Gen. Toshevo, present to the audience a detailed technology for chickpea cultivation. Special emphasis is placed on the protection of the crop from weeds, diseases and pests. The issue of using the appropriate bacterial inoculant for effective atmospheric nitrogen fixation is also addressed.
The special edition is published with the support of BASF, the leading company in the agrochemical business with the largest portfolio for ensuring a high health status of chickpea and other legume crops under conditions of an uncertain climatic and phytosanitary environment.
