The information campaign of the MAF on direct payments is underway

As of 20 February, information meetings have started in the country to explain the schemes under direct payments for Campaign 2017. Their purpose is to acquaint agricultural producers with the novelties in the application process and with the conditions they must meet, as well as with the activities they must carry out in order to receive financial support.

The information seminars are organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and experts from the municipal agriculture offices to the Ministry will explain the procedures for applying under the direct payments in the current agricultural campaign.

Applications for support in 2017 will be accepted from 1 March to 15 May. A total of 20 direct payment schemes will be open to beneficiaries during this campaign. The financial resource to be allocated under them is approximately BGN 1.5 billion.

Farmers who are unable to attend the meetings may consult and obtain information on site at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food or at the municipal offices of the MAF.
