The State Fund “Agriculture” grants BGN 1 million for the control of the tomato leafminer and another BGN 1 million for the control of soil pests in potato cultivation
Tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta)
The State Fund “Agriculture” grants support amounting to BGN 1 million for the control of the tomato leafminer in 2016. The funds are provided under the State Aid Scheme for the compensation of costs related to the implementation of measures under the National Programme of Measures for the Control of the Tomato Leafminer - Tuta absoluta Meyrick (Lepidoptera).
From 11 April to 30 September 2016 a procedure is opened for the submission of applications under the scheme. The documents will be accepted at the regional directorates of the Fund “Agriculture”.
The funds will compensate the expenses of vegetable producers for the purchase of plant protection products against the tomato leafminer. Approved applicants under the scheme must submit reporting documents by 21 October. The deadline for concluding the contracts and for payment of the aid is 30 November 2016.
The amount of support for an individual agricultural producer will be determined by the Managing Board of the State Fund Agriculture after the completion of the application process and the administration of the eligible area.
Wireworms (Elateridae)
The Managing Board of the State Fund “Agriculture” approved for 2016 a financial resource of BGN 1 million under the State Aid Scheme for the compensation of the costs of agricultural producers for the purchase of plant protection products for the control of soil pests in potatoes. The activities are in implementation of the measures under the National Programme of Measures for the Control of Soil Pests in Potatoes of the family Wireworms (Elateridae).
Applications for participation in the scheme will be accepted at the regional directorates of the Fund from 11 April to 13 May.
By 20 June agricultural producers must submit reporting documents for the activities carried out for the treatment of potato crops. The deadline for concluding contracts and for payment of the aid is 15 July 2016.
