Rates under the schemes for fruit and vegetables for Campaign 2015

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has officially announced the rates under the schemes for coupled support for fruit and vegetables for Campaign 2015. As of today, 24.03.2016, the State Fund “Agriculture” has started the payment of the subsidy amount, which totals 76 million leva.

The three schemes for coupled support for fruit and vegetables were applied for the first time in the past year and are the result of the innovations introduced by the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.

Under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Fruit, the rate is 1,938 leva (990.88 euro) per hectare. Farmers applying under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables will receive 2,328 leva (1,190.29 euro) per hectare. Under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables (greenhouse production), the rate set is 10,686 leva (5,463.67 euro) per hectare.

Order No 09-142/21.03.2016 of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva has been published on the websites of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the State Fund “Agriculture”. The control over the implementation of this Order is assigned to Vasil Grudev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food.

Almost 7,000 farmers who have requested financial support for the production of fruit, vegetables and vegetables from greenhouse production and have submitted their declarations within the pre-announced deadline of 31 January 2016 are entitled to receive support under the schemes.

It should be recalled that the total amount of funds paid under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Fruit (SP) is 37.5 million leva. Under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables (SZ), the financial assistance amounts to 33.5 million leva. The subsidy under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables – Greenhouse Production (SZg) is 5 million leva.
