UPL Limited announced the completion of the acquisition of Arysta LifeScience Inc.

UPL Limited ("UPL") today announced the completion of the transaction for the acquisition of Arysta LifeScience Inc. ("Arysta") from Platform Specialty Products for USD 4.2 billion. The closing of the transaction, which was signed in July 2018, marks an important milestone in the history of UPL. The acquisition further strengthens UPL’s position as a global leader in agricultural solutions with total sales of approximately USD 5 billion and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation and amortisation) of around USD 1 billion.

In its pursuit of a long-term vision to be a global leader in the world food network, UPL is launching its new purpose, called 'OpenAg', which represents an open-minded partnership for win-win opportunities, thereby expanding the scope for creating a broader food network.

The transaction has received approval from regulatory authorities around the world and the company has already announced global, regional and local leadership teams.

UPL is carrying out the acquisition through its international subsidiary UPL Corporation Ltd, creating a new company with extensive experience and diverse expertise to drive the company forward.
