After the prolonged autumn drought, the rainfall of rain and snow at the end of the second and the beginning of the third ten-day period of November, in many parts of the country exceeding 40-50 l/m² (Razgrad-57 l/m², Shumen-57 l/m², Ruse-60 l/m², Haskovo-50 l/m², Kardzhali-50 l/m², Chirpan-65 l/m², Stara Zagora-60 l/m², Sliven-59 l/m²), led to overcoming the moisture deficit in the upper soil layers of the autumn-sown crops. This precipitation is too late for part of the winter cereal crops which, as a result of the lack of moisture, are in an initial stage of their vegetation and calls into question their successful overwintering.

During the next seven-day period, the agrometeorological conditions will be characterized by increased dynamics. At the beginning and at the end of the period, the forecast values of the average daily temperatures for most of the country, with the exception of the southern regions, are below the biological minimum required for the vegetation of wheat, barley and winter oilseed rape. At the end of November in Northern Bulgaria, where snowfall is also expected, the autumn-sown crops will enter a state of relative dormancy.

In Southern Bulgaria, the vegetation of the winter cereal crops and winter oilseed rape will proceed at a slowed pace and a substantial change in the phenological development of the crops is not expected.

At the end of November, the following growth stages of wheat and barley will be observed: emergence, third leaf, and beginning of tillering, mainly in the stands in the central and northeastern part of the Danube Plain.

In oilseed rape, the 4-5 leaf stage will predominate. A small part of the stands sown at the beginning of autumn are at the beginning of the rosette formation stage (6th leaf).

During the period, more favorable conditions for completing the autumn planting of fruit trees will occur in the middle of the third ten-day period of November.
