Accelerated development of agricultural crops

The past seven-day period was characterized by warm and dry weather, which increased the water consumption of agricultural crops and the depletion of soil water reserves, which reached values below the lower limit of optimal moisture in the root-inhabited soil layer.

During the current week, warm and dry weather is expected, which will maintain the accelerated development of agricultural crops. For vegetable crops (pepper, tomato, cabbage and zucchini), it is advisable to carry out irrigations and top dressing with nitrogen mineral fertilizers or diluted farmyard manure. During the period, tomatoes and peppers will be in active fruiting, and regular harvesting will be carried out. The weather will be suitable for conducting plant protection activities, taking into account the timing of product harvesting.

In maize, depending on the earliness of the hybrids, the stages of grain filling, transition from milk to dough maturity, and dough maturity will take place. In sunflower, the ripening stage will be observed. In fruit species (peach, plum, apple), fruit ripening and harvesting of the fruits will occur.

During the period, the agrometeorological conditions will be suitable for treating vineyards and vegetable crops with systemic fungicides against powdery mildew in the presence of symptoms of the disease.
