During the period, the risk of development and infection with fungal pathogens in vegetable crops (downy mildew), and in fruit species (powdery mildew, brown rot, fruit scab) remains.
The rainfall during the second ten-day period of June, in most regions of the country, improved soil moisture reserves in the 0–50 cm layer in the field areas and improved the conditions for the development of spring crops – maize and sunflower.
During the next period, the weather is expected to be variable with showers and a decrease in temperatures, and the possibility of hail and damage to agricultural crops remains.
In wheat, the phases of dough ripeness and full ripeness will take place, and barley is in the phase of full ripeness. In Northeastern Bulgaria (Shumen and Glavinitsa) and in Central Northern Bulgaria (Knezha), the harvesting of barley and wheat grain has also begun. In Southern Bulgaria (Lyubimets, Chirpan, Sandanski), the harvesting of winter cereal crops has also started. Maize for grain will be in the leaf development phase, and in sunflower, the formation of inflorescences will take place. In Northern Bulgaria (Pavlikeni, Bazovets) and part of Southern Bulgaria (the Plovdiv region), maize will be in the flowering and tasseling phase. In these regions, sunflower will be in the flowering phase. Oilseed rape will be in the pod ripening phase.
