Favorable conditions for all agricultural crops at the beginning of June

The month of June will begin with high temperatures, which will sustain the accelerated development of field crops. During the period, unstable weather conditions with short-term showers are expected, while the risk of hail and new damage to agricultural crops remains.

In wheat, the milk ripeness stage and the beginning of the dough ripeness stage will be observed at the agrometeorological stations Nikolaevo, Pavlikeni, Tsarev Brod, Glavinitsa and Silistra. During these stages of crop development, damage is caused by the sunn pest.

In maize and sunflower, leaf formation will take place, and in part of the sunflower stands, the formation of inflorescences will also occur – at the agrometeorological stations Bazovets and Pavlikeni. In fruit crops, fruit enlargement will continue. During the period, damage will be caused by the first generation of the codling moth. In the vine, the flowering stage will be observed – at the Karnobat station – which is critical for downy mildew infection. In vineyards, damage will be inflicted by the larvae of the first generation of the European grapevine moth.
