Specifics of Growing Stone Fruit Species

On 20 October 2017 in the town of Yambol, a joint information meeting-seminar will be held by NAAS (Territorial Regional Office – Yambol), Shumen University (SU) "E. Konstantin Preslavski" and the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) – Regional Directorate for Food Safety (RDFS) – Yambol on the topic: „Specifics in the cultivation of stone fruit species”.

At the seminar Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kiril Slavov – SU „E. Konstantin Preslavski“ will present to the attendees pruning operations related to fruiting of fruit trees, as well as fertilization of fruit-bearing orchards.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kiril Slavov will also acquaint the guests with irrigation systems for fruit crops and systems for inter-row maintenance in orchards.

The “Plant Protection“ Department of the RDFS – Yambol will provide farmers with information related to the current plant protection legislation and activities for compliance with good plant protection practice.

The experts from the Territorial Regional Office of NAAS – Yambol will explain to the participants in the seminar the requirements under Sub-measure 4.1.2 „Investments in agricultural holdings“ under the Thematic Sub-programme for the Development of Small Farms (TSDMSF), as well as the opportunities for application and financing under Measure 9 „Setting up of producer groups and organisations“ of the Rural Development Programme RDP 2014-2020.
