7th Forum for the Future of Agriculture, Brussels 2014

For everyone interested in the future of agriculture on a global scale and who believes this is a topic deserving their full attention, on April 1st in Brussels, the agricultural forum will be held for the seventh time under the title "How to produce more sustainably with less and sell it better". Since 2008, the forum has been organized by Syngenta and ELO (the European Landowners' Organization), who aim to turn the event into open debates where contentious topics in the fields of food, food security, and the environment are discussed as part of sustainable agriculture. This year's program is divided into three modules, with the first focusing on sustainable intensification as a response to the growing need for food amidst diminishing natural resources and an increasing population, and the second will concentrate on enhancing competitiveness and investments in agricultural enterprises. Significant interest is also expected for the third module, which will direct attention to the transatlantic market and the investment partnership between the European Union and the USA.

On March 31st, as part of the Forum's preliminary program, Syngenta will present its report on progress in global agriculture (the Good Growth Plan). The exhibition from Syngenta's photography competition will also highlight the art that can be found in rural landscapes and agricultural farms. With the kind assistance of Syngenta Bulgaria, our team will also be present and eagerly looks forward to providing you with even more comprehensive information and photographic material from the forum.
