During the period, the conditions will allow the implementation of the most important activity of the season – the harvesting of barley and wheat.
During the next seven-day period, the agrometeorological conditions will be determined by relatively dry, warm, and in some lowland areas – hot weather.
The precipitation at the end of the second and the beginning of the third ten-day period of June improved the conditions for the vegetation of spring crops, some of which are in the reproductive phase of their development and have increased requirements for soil moisture. Exceptions occur in some of the far northwestern and southern regions, where the rainfall had no economic significance, and the soil moisture reserves in the 50 cm layer are unsatisfactory, below 65% of field capacity (FC).
During the period, in the sunflower stands in the field regions of the country, the formation of the inflorescence and the flowering stage will take place. In early maize hybrids, tasseling and tassel flowering will be observed. In cotton, budding will occur, and in grain legumes – pod formation.
In wheat in the lowland areas, mass wax maturity and full maturity will be observed. During the period, the conditions will allow the implementation of the most important activity of the season – the harvesting of barley and wheat.
The dry and hot weather during the third ten-day period of June will limit the development of a number of fungal diseases in vegetable crops, fruit trees and vines, with the exception of powdery mildews. If necessary, plant protection spraying should be carried out during the cooler hours of the day.
