On 10 May, expect issue 5/2017 of the journal „Plant Protection”. The theme of the issue is integrated weed control in the main crops in field crop rotation. In issue 5, the focus of integrated weed control will fall on the agricultural crops – wheat and oilseed rape. You will learn what causes the rotting of cherry fruits and once again we will draw your attention to the fact that the spotted-wing drosophila possesses characteristics that make it a particularly dangerous pest for fruit production in Bulgaria and worldwide. In our new column “Villa Zone” we will share practical experience on diseases and pests that attack various plants in yards (lilac, boxwood, geranium, parsley, etc.) We have not forgotten the monthly calendar for plant protection care in fruit crops, vine and vegetables, prepared with great attention and care for the farmer by the specialists from the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency and from the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute in Plovdiv.

Extremely interesting is also the topic of the supplement on biostimulants, which is issued together with the print body of the journal – Macro- and microalgae – biostimulants for agricultural crops.
