Alternative to agriculture in the Western Rhodopes – cultivation of berry fruit species

On 9 June, (Friday) 2017 in the town of Sarnitsa, Pazardzhik District, a joint information meeting - seminar with demonstration will be held by NAAS (Territorial Regional Office - Pazardzhik) and the Agricultural University - Plovdiv on the topic: „ An alternative to agriculture in the Western Rhodopes – cultivation of berry fruit species – raspberries, strawberries, blueberries.“

At the seminar, Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Dimitar Stoychev from the Agricultural University - Plovdiv will present modern technologies for the cultivation of berry fruit species such as raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.

Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Dimitar Stoychev will also demonstrate the agrotechnical practices for raspberry cultivation.

Experts from the Territorial Regional Office of NAAS - Pazardzhik will explain to the participants in the seminar the various opportunities and requirements for support to farmers under Measure 6.1 "Start-up aid for young farmers" and Sub-measure 4.1.2 "Investments in agricultural holdings" of the "Thematic sub-programme for the development of small farms" under the RDP 2014-2020.

The event will take place in the town of Sarnitsa in the hall of the restaurant "Alicante"

The demonstration will be held at a raspberry plantation farm in the town of Sarnitsa.
