Мана по лозата (Plasmopara viticola)

Depending on the age of the leaves, downy mildew forms two types of spots: oily and mosaic. On their lower side a white sporulating coating is formed. Under severe attack the leaves dry out and fall prematurely. Under favourable conditions (relative air humidity above 75%) chlorotic spots appear on the inflorescences and clusters, on which a white sporulating coating is also formed. When the spots are at the base of the cluster, the whole bunch dries out. Infection of the berries ceases when, for wine grape varieties, they reach the size of a „pea, and for table grape varieties the size of a „bean”.

Strategy for pest control:

Treatment is carried out when favourable conditions for infection occur (air temperature above 13^oC and frequent but light rainfall) and during the sensitive phenological stage of the vine „flowering” - „pea.
