One of the new products on the plant protection market this year is the broad-spectrum insecticide Daskor 440 EC of Arysta LifeScience Bulgaria EOOD. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide for the control of a wide range of pests in numerous cereal crops, oilseed rape, vineyards, vegetables and opium poppy. Daskor 440 EC is a new brand, a new name with new active substances.

Why is the product universal and against which pests is it applicable?

The insecticide Daskor 440 EC is offered for the first time on the Bulgarian market in 2017. The product has a broad label in registered crops for application against a wide spectrum of pests. Registrations offered: vineyards against European grapevine moth, grape berry moth, grape leafhopper, grape scale and grapevine leafroller. Tomatoes against leaf-feeding caterpillars and fruit-boring caterpillars, Colorado potato beetle. Eggplant against Colorado potato beetle. Potatoes against aphids and Colorado potato beetle. Oilseed rape against rape stem weevil and rape blossom beetle. Wheat, rye, triticale, barley and oats against aphids. Opium poppy against aphids.

What is the mode of action of Daskor 440 EC, a combination of two different types of active substances that act in synergy (cypermethrin 40 g/l + chlorpyrifos-methyl 400 g/l)?

It is a universal product with contact, stomach and inhalation action and a repellent effect, suitable for application in a wide temperature range, which acts both on larvae and adults, on sucking as well as on chewing pests. It is a combination of two active substances – cypermethrin, which ensures a rapid initial effect and has a repellent action. The other active substance – chlorpyrifos-methyl guarantees a prolonged residual effect of the product, more than two weeks. This is due to the organophosphorus component of chlorpyrifos-methyl. With Daskor 440 EC, high efficacy is observed without causing phytotoxicity and potential development of resistance in plants, of course, when used at the registered doses.

What are the advantages of using Daskor 440 EC?

Rapid initial effect, repellent action and prolonged guaranteed residual effect against the target pests.

What is the tank-mix compatibility of the insecticide with alkaline products and Bordeaux mixture?

The use of Daskor 440 EC in mixtures with products having an alkaline reaction is not recommended.

Does the product have any effect on succeeding crops in the crop rotation?

Daskor 440 EC has no established residual effect on succeeding crops in the crop rotation.

How should Daskor 440 EC be applied correctly?

The product belongs to the second professional category of use for foliar application. This means that it can be applied by any farmer or citizen who holds a certificate proving that they have completed a training course for the application of pesticides.

Is Daskor 440 EC dangerous for birds and mammals, given that one of its components is chlorpyrifos-methyl, for the use of which there are strict measures and control in the European Union?

Daskor 440 EC has low toxicity for birds and mammals when applied in accordance with the instructions for use indicated on the product label.
