Coupled support for fruits and vegetables under Campaign 2016

Nearly 65 million leva have been transferred for coupled support for fruit and vegetables. On 30 March 2017, the State Fund „Agriculture“ started the payment of subsidies under the schemes for production-coupled support for fruit and vegetables from Campaign 2016. Applicants for financial support were required to submit to the Fund, by 31 January, a declaration in the prescribed form and documents proving the marketing of the produced output.

Nearly 65 million leva have been transferred for coupled support for fruit and vegetables. Fourteen thousand farmers who declared areas with fruit, vegetables and greenhouse vegetable production will receive support under the schemes. The total amount of funds paid under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Fruit (SP) is 30,408,586 leva. Under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables (SZ), the subsidies paid amount to 29,115,000 leva, and under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables – Greenhouse Production (SZo) – 4,254,286 leva.

In the published indicative schedule it was envisaged that the subsidies under these schemes would be paid in the period from 1 to 10 April. By decision of the Management of the Fund „Agriculture“, the payments under the schemes for fruit and vegetables – greenhouse production were made earlier, and therefore indicative rates were used in the calculations for each of the schemes.

After completion of the verification of all documents proving the quantities of production, the exact rates will be determined. On this basis, a recalculation will be made, whereby farmers will receive an additional payment up to the full utilisation of the funds under the scheme.
