Seminar on the link between alternative tourism and organic production

On 10.11.2016 the Bulgarian Association of Bioproducts (BAB) will hold a bio‑seminar on the topic “Alternative tourism and organic production – the meeting is necessary” within the framework of the Interfood & Drink exhibition. Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food have been invited to comment on issues related to Measures 4.1, 4.2, 6.4 and 16.1 of the RDP.
The seminar will be opened by the Chair of BAB, Mrs. Albena Simeonova, after which a presentation will be made on why exactly a permanent link must be established between alternative tourism and organic production. This will be done through the presentations of Lyubomir Popyordanov – “Alternative tourism and organic production – the meeting is necessary” and Petya Vasileva – “Modern agriculture and alternative tourism”.
Discussions will be held with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Issues under Measure 4.1 “Investments in agricultural holdings” and Measure 4.2 “Investments in processing/marketing of agricultural products” will be commented on by Georgi Dimitrov and Aleksandar Orlinov, Senior Experts at the Directorate “Rural Development”, Department “Competitiveness of Agriculture” at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The unclearly formulated Measure 6.4 “Investment support for non-agricultural activities” will also be discussed, and for its clarification Venislava Boyadzhieva, Senior Expert at the Directorate “Rural Development”, Department “Socio-economic Development of Rural Areas” at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, has been invited. The panel will conclude with Measure 16.1 “Support for the establishment and operation of operational groups within the EIP” with the participation of Maya Nikova, Senior Expert at the Directorate “Rural Development” at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
