Certificates for the right to use professional category PPP

Certificates are issued only by designated professional educational institutions and organizations, selected and approved by BFA

According to the Plant Protection Act (Promulgated SG No.61 of July 25, 2014, amended SG No.12 of February 13, 2015), distributors, consultants, and professional users of plant protection products of the professional use category must possess a certificate issued by the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFA) or by an authorized official. All professional users, distributors, and consultants with higher education in the field of agricultural sciences with a professional specialization in "Plant Protection" or "Crop Production" receive a certificate under Art. 83 by right. It is only necessary to submit an application using a template to the Regional Directorate of Food Safety (RDFS) and attach a copy of the diploma for the relevant education in the field of agricultural sciences. In this case, the certificate is issued indefinitely!

When users and distributors do not have higher education with a professional specialization in "Plant Protection" or "Crop Production", they can obtain a certificate for the use of PPPs of the professional use category after completing training at higher schools or institutions within the system of professional education. The recognized higher schools and institutions are listed on the website of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency and can also be seen HERE.

Persons who have completed the training will be able to possess a certificate for the right to use professional category PPPs by submitting an application using a template to the RDFS with an attached certified copy of the training completion document. For them, the validity period of the certificate is 10 years.
