'The Bulgarian wine-growing sector received positive assessments from the European Commission'

Bulgaria will not face a financial correction under the National Program for Supporting the Viticulture and Wine Sector, the European Commission officially announced. The results of the on-the-spot checks, as well as the final analysis by the EC auditors, show that no violations have been committed in this sector.

During the period of June 22 – 26, 2015, an audit check by the European Commission (EC) was carried out at the Executive Agency for Vine and Wine (EAVW) and the State Fund "Agriculture" – Paying Agency (SFA-PA) for the financial year 2013 and subsequent financial years up to the present. On the part of Bulgaria, namely the EAVW and the SFA-PA, all requested documentation, beneficiary projects, financing, and concluded contracts were provided.
