Final deadline for grape growers to apply for reimbursement of their pest control expenses

Until November 14, 2025, producers of wine and dessert grapes can apply for support under the state aid scheme „Aid for compensating farmers' costs related to the implementation of measures under the National Program of Measures for Preventing the Spread and Control of Vine Pests (genus Vitis)“. The budget for state aid for 2025, approved by the Governing Board of the State Fund „Agriculture“ (GB of SFA), is BGN 5 million.

The financial support aims to compensate part of the costs incurred by  farmers for purchasing products to combat vine pests. The maximum intensity of the aid is up to 100% of the costs incurred for purchasing the used preparations, but no more than BGN 600/ha, including VAT.

Only expenses incurred this year are recognized. Only plant protection products described in the National Program of Measures for Control of Vine Pests, published on the website of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, are eligible, and instructions for applying for state aid can be read on the website of the "Agriculture" fund.

Applications under the scheme started on March 24, and the deadline expires today. The State Fund "Agriculture" is expected to pay out the financial aid under the scheme by December 10.
