The proposed amendment to the Agricultural Land Act will benefit fruit growers.

All users of agricultural land from the municipal or state land fund, who have established or are using permanent plantations, after the 5th year may request to acquire this land at market prices. The change is stipulated in the Agricultural Land Law, voted on second reading several days ago, and was presented by the Minister of Agriculture Desislava Taneva at a meeting with branch organizations from the Permanent Plantations sector.
