How to use software in fertilization and which fertilizers are suitable for different soils and crops

Experts from the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAAS) and the University of Forestry – Sofia will share experience on how to use software for fertilization and which fertilizers are suitable for different soils and crops during an online seminar on 15 August 2025 (Friday) from 10:00 a.m.

Within the framework of the seminar, Prof. Veselin Kutev, PhD, from the University of Forestry – Sofia will present to interested parties up-to-date information and practical approaches for the application of fertilizers in field and vegetable crops, vineyards and orchards. Special attention will be paid to modern techniques for optimizing the nutritional regime of plants, with an emphasis on environmentally sustainable solutions and a balanced approach to fertilization.

The impact of different types of macro-fertilizers and micro-fertilizers on growth, yield and product quality will also be examined, as well as the specific features of their application will be highlighted.

In the second part of the seminar, the mandatory requirements for farmers in connection with Social Conditionality under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) will be presented.
