Who are the best in organic production in Europe

The European Organic Awards 2025 will be held for the fourth consecutive year and, from their very launch, they aim to inform the public about the progress of organic farming in the EU Member States.

This initiative, organised by the European Commission and partners such as the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Regions, COPA-COGECA and IFOAM Organics Europe, recognises achievements, innovation and sustainability in organic production.

Therefore, the Bulgarian Farmers Union (BFU), a member of "Copa-Cogeca", calls on Bulgarian organic producers to take part in the competition.

Among the categories in which you may participate are Best Organic Farmer (female and male), Best Organic Region, City, SME, Retailer and Organic Food Restaurant.

Submission of applications starts on 11 February 2025 and ends on 27 April 2025. The award ceremony will take place on 23 September 2025, during the EU Organic Day.

We would like to remind you that already at the first edition of the awards, Troyan Municipality was a contender for “Best Organic Region” alongside the city of Vienna, and in 2024 Bulgaria once again had a finalist - Blagovesta Vassilieva from “The Wild Farm”.
