Еxpert agronomic consultations for vegetable producers at AGRA 2025

Within the framework of the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA, experts from the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute - Plovdiv and the National Demo Center of AgroHub.BG will provide individual agronomic consultations for vegetable growers cultivating tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants and other vegetables – in greenhouses or in open fields.

Book an appointment – places are limited

The consultations are part of the services of AgroHub.BG, provided by the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute - Plovdiv, and are offered free of charge to registered farmers, small and medium-sized enterprises and public organisations, but require:

Prior completion of an application for use of a service of AgroHub.BG (if you have already signed an application for the use of services from AgroHub.BG, you do not need to do it again, but only to book an appointment for a consultation). After registration for a consultation, a representative of AgroHub.BG/Maritsa VCRI will contact you to arrange the service and reserve a time slot for the consultation.

Individual consultations for vegetable growers

Specialists from the Maritsa VCRI with many years of experience will show you how to:

- Select a variety and a cultivation technology for your crop;

- Diagnose and recommend measures for control of diseases and pests;

You need to bring plant material (preferably a whole plant) with disease symptoms. A visual inspection, disease diagnosis and recommendations for plant protection will be carried out. If necessary, the pathogen may be isolated for its accurate identification.

- Fertilisation technology based on soil sample analysis.

You need to bring a composite (representative) sample from your greenhouse or field, from the 0–30 cm soil layer. The analysis will be carried out in the Agrochemistry Laboratory of the Maritsa VCRI, and the result, accompanied by a fertilisation recommendation, will be provided electronically or on-site at the Institute within 2–3 working days.

During the consultation you may receive answers to all questions of interest related to the optimal cultivation of your crops.

Places are limited. Twelve individual consultations will be provided and twelve free soil analyses will be carried out!
