For its 90th anniversary, the Karnobat Institute of Agriculture developed and published a luxurious book on plant protection in cereal crops. The book is entirely externally funded and has a practical-applied focus, aiming to improve and facilitate the management of diseases, pests, and weeds in cereal crops. The pests are illustrated with rich photographic material, and their life cycles are described for easier orientation of grain producers. The key points for the prevention and control of diseases, pests, and weeds from sowing to harvest are examined. Attention is paid to the safe application of pesticides to protect the environment and human health. The main aspects of integrated plant protection are explained. The approved pesticides for use in cereal crops are also listed. The book is an essential handbook for every farmer engaged in grain production.

Also on the book market since 2007 is the book "Cereal Crops. Diseases, Pests and Weeds in Agricultural Crops" by authors Yordanka Stancheva, Ivanka Lecheva, and Shteliana Kalinova. In the Pensoft publishing series "Diseases, Pests and Weeds in Agricultural Croplands," modern knowledge about the main groups of pests on agricultural plants is summarized. Based on rich illustrative material, their morphological features, biological characteristics, and ecological requirements are examined. Special attention is paid to the correct identification of pests using specially developed identification tables. The book presents in detail all known control measures - agrotechnical, physical-mechanical, biological, and chemical - for each pest.
