The International Conference "Organic Farming - Solutions for Overcoming Drought Events and Intensive Rainfall" will be held at AGRA 2025

In 2025, for the sixteenth time, the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development (HSARD) is the initiator and organizer of the “Organic Farming Day”, within the framework of which an International Conference on "Organic Farming – Solutions for Overcoming Incidents of Droughts and Intensive Rainfalls" will be held.

The Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development (HSARD) in Plovdiv participates actively every year in the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA. The forum is traditionally a meeting place for prominent scientists and experts in the field of organic farming, as well as for representatives of research and non-governmental organizations, certification companies and others, the higher school announced. 

This year, the Organic Farming Day, organized with the cooperation and support of the International Fair Plovdiv, will take place on 19 February (Wednesday). As part of the event, from 10:30 a.m. the International Conference on "Organic Farming – Solutions for Overcoming Incidents of Droughts and Intensive Rainfalls" will be held. Co-organizer of the event is the International Fair Plovdiv, and partners this year are the Bulgarian Association "Bioproducts", the Foundation for Organic Agriculture "Bioselena" and the Agency for Regional Development with Business Centre for Support of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Plovdiv.

As every year, HSARD will also set up an organic farming stand, where organic products from producers, teaching materials, news on projects related to organic farming, announcements of training courses for farmers and others will be exhibited. Experts in the field of organic farming will be present to provide consultations during meetings with agricultural producers.

Within the framework of the official opening, the prestigious Laureate "Biofactor" award will also be presented, which was established by the Academic Council of the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development and is awarded in memory of Prof. Dr. Georgi Sengalevich – founder and honorary chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Organic Farming Day.
