Herbicide Cerventa™ - quality herbicide for quality yield!

FMC Agro Bulgaria understands how important this initial stage is, therefore it presents its newest herbicide Cerventa™, developed specifically for post-emergence protection of cereal crops. The herbicide Cerventa™ is a reliable solution for excellent control of a broad spectrum of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in cereal crops such as wheat, barley, oats and rye.

Cerventa™ is a systemic, post-emergence, selective herbicide with a formulation consisting of three active substances that act synergistically, thus providing maximum efficacy and protection of cereal crops.

The action of Cerventa™ is based on inhibition of cell division in susceptible weeds only hours after application of the product, which causes an immediate stop in growth. The product begins to act shortly after its application, with visible symptoms such as change in weed colour, bleaching and necrosis observed within 1–2 weeks after treatment, depending also on growth conditions and weed sensitivity. Less sensitive and larger weeds may not be completely destroyed, but remain suppressed in their development and do not compete with the crop in the uptake of the nutrients, light and water that are so important for its development.

To achieve maximum effect, the herbicide Cerventa™ must be applied in the early growth stages of actively growing weeds, at a rate of 3.5 to 5 g/da. A rate of 4 g/da is fully sufficient for controlling ephemeral weeds in the autumn. In cases of high weed density, overgrown weeds or the presence of weeds with a waxy coating or hairs, the addition of the adjuvant Trend^® 90 is recommended.

Cerventa™ is an extremely flexible product with regard to the timing of treatment: it can be applied from the 3–5 leaf stage of cereal crops, from the beginning of tillering up to the flag leaf stage of the crop.
