ИСAR – Ruse with a demonstration of new and well-established in practice high-yielding and environmentally stress-tolerant alfalfa and sorghum varieties

On 30 July 2024, the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science “Obraztsov Chiflik” – Ruse will hold the fourth demonstration on the topic: “Demonstration of new and practically established high-yielding and environmentally stress-tolerant alfalfa and sorghum varieties” under the project “Transfer of knowledge and improvement of farmers’ skills for competitive and sustainable agriculture” under Sub-measure 1.2 “Demonstration activities and information actions” of Measure 1 “Knowledge transfer and information actions” of the Rural Development Programme for the period 2014 – 2020.

8:30 – 9:00 Registration, receipt of materials, coffee

9:00 – 10:30 “Demonstration of new alfalfa varieties with high productivity and product quality, with broad ecological plasticity and resistance to abiotic and biotic stress” (the demonstration will be held at the experimental field of the IAS “Obraztsov Chiflik”). Lecturer: Chief Assistant Professor Diana Marinova, PhD

10:30 – 10:45 Coffee break

10:45 – 12:15 “Demonstration of new alfalfa varieties with high productivity and product quality, with broad ecological plasticity and resistance to abiotic and biotic stress” (the demonstration will be held at the laboratory complex of the IAS “Obraztsov Chiflik”). 13:15 – 14:45 “Demonstration of grain sorghum varieties suitable for cultivation in Northeastern Bulgaria” (the demonstration will be held at the experimental field of the IAS “Obraztsov Chiflik”).

One activity, with a duration of 2 academic hours of 45 min. each.

14:45 – 15:00 Coffee break

16:30 Conclusion of the demonstration activities.

Persons wishing to attend the demonstration must be registered farmers or employed in their holdings.

A participation form (Annex No 3 to the implementation conditions) must be filled in in advance, and it is necessary to present the available Unique Identification Number (UINZS) of the farmer and the employment/civil contract of the persons employed in the holding!
