For pear trees during this period, sprayings are directed against scab, leaf spots/white and brown/, the common pear psyllid, the codling moth, the pear fruit moth, and the oriental fruit moth. Against diseases, Dithane M-45 – 0.3% or Luna Experience – 20-75 ml/daa is used. At the end of May in most fruit-growing regions, under favorable conditions for the development of fire blight, symptoms of this bacterial disease appear en masse. It causes serious damage to pear, quince, and apple trees. To limit the damage, pruning is carried out to remove infected branches and shoots (cutting 30-40 cm below the site of infection), after which the wounds are sealed with grafting paint + copper-containing preparations such as Bordeaux mixture, Funguran OH 50WP, Champion WP. Pruning tools are disinfected after each cut with burning alcohol or bleach diluted with water in a 1:10 ratio. In addition to pruning, to protect trees from infection, sprayings with Bordeaux mixture – 1%, Funguran OH 50WP – 0.3%, or Champion WP – 0.3% are carried out. Under conditions favorable for disease development – susceptible varieties, cold and wet weather, as well as the presence of infection from the previous year, preventive sprayings are carried out at intervals of 5-7 days.
