Amidst the cherry harvesting campaign, fruit growers from Kyustendil region open their gardens to visitors.

For the second year, Professor Dimitar Domozetov, former director of the Institute of Fruit Growing in Kyustendil and owner of over 500 decares of fruit plantations, is conducting the "Pick Your Own" campaign and inviting all lovers of the delicious fruit to the Kyustendil cherry gardens.

"Guests enter the gardens, pick as much as they want, then the fruits are weighed on the scale. To the delight of visitors, the principle – „Eat as much as you can" – is followed," shares Domozetov.

The delicious fruits are located in orchards near the village of Konyavo and are of high quality and freshness. The price of one kilogram of self-picked cherries is from 1 to 2 leva. And mineral water is provided for every picker.

Fruit growers remind that those wishing to pick delicious cherries directly from the tree must be appropriately dressed for outdoor work - to wear hats, comfortable shoes, and packaging – buckets and crates.

According to the organizers, cherry tourism can become an anticipated and pleasant experience.
