Demo Day in IZK “Maritsa” – smart fertilization at reasonable cost

On Tuesday, May 14th, a lecture will be held at the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Institute, Plovdiv, by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivanka Tringovska, an expert in agrochemistry and vegetable production, on the topic: „Smart Fertilization at a Reasonable Cost”.

The event will start promptly at 10:00 AM with a demonstration of precision farming technologies in the institute's modernized greenhouse.

You will learn how the newly installed technologies in the greenhouse refine the fertilization schemes used for vegetables to reduce the amount of fertilizers and increase yields.

From 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivanka Tringovska will introduce you to fertilization at the right time, in the right place, with the correct composition and ratio of nutrients.

You will learn:

• Why it is important to monitor soil conditions
• Which fertilizers and exactly when to use them to make intelligent decisions;
• How to adapt fertilization to the plant development phases and the need for nutrients in each phase;
• What is the exact composition and quantity of nutrients that plants need in a given growth phase;
