Myths and Reality about the Rogozno Virus

On 23 April 2024, a Demo Day on the topic: “Myths and Reality about Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) – Biology, Diagnostics and Prevention” will be held at the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute.

The event will open at 10:00 a.m. with a demonstration of precision agriculture technologies in the modernized greenhouse of the Institute. Assoc. Prof. Ivanka Tringovska, PhD, expert in agrochemistry and vegetable production at VCRI “Maritsa”, will present to the guests the advantages of the “smart” greenhouse at the Institute.

From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Chief Assistant Prof. Gancho Pasev, PhD, plant virologist at VCRI “Maritsa”, will deliver a lecture on the spread, biology and transmission of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus.

The lecture also covers phytosanitary measures, diagnostics, and practical advice.

The event is suitable for farmers, agronomists, scientists, researchers, and consultants in the agricultural sector.
