Good plant protection practices in the control of diseases and pests in fruit crops – apricots, plums and cherries

On 29 February 2024 (Thursday) from 09:45 a.m. in the town of Silistra, an information and training seminar will be held on the topic: „Good plant protection practices in the control of diseases and pests in fruit crops – apricots, plums and cherries".

During the seminar, the participants will become acquainted with the problems in the control of diseases and pests in stone fruit species – apricots, plums and cherries – and examples of good practices and guidelines for their application in different farms will be presented. They will receive information on current plant protection practices for the control of diseases and pests in the orchard.

Farmers will be informed about the implementation of approved projects under the RDP 2014-2020 and the activities of the NAAS under sub-measure 2.1.2 "Advisory services for small agricultural holdings", as well as about the possibilities for support for small farms and young farmers under the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPDARA) 2023-2027.

The event is organized by the National Agricultural Advisory Service, Territorial District Office – Silistra and Shumen University "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski".
